Bicycling is virtually cost-free and you can typically park much closer to your workplace or classes. You save money by not paying for a parking permit, not paying for gas for your commute, and by reducing wear and tear on your car.

There are bicycle racks throughout the campus. And the Department of Public Safety’s police staff will register your bike for FREE! Just come to the Department of Public Safety Headquarters on Route 1 at Rossborough Lane or call 301-405-3555. And you can now bring your bike on both Metrobus and Metrorail.

Each day my wife and I get to see the moon or sunrise. The weather is always beautiful (even in the rain) and we arrive at work relaxed and energized. We ride over the Beltway each day and doubt that those commuters are having so much fun. Ride a bike to work. It’s easy!!
