This was designed to help you understand alternatives to driving alone and parking on campus. Also included are programs and services offered by the University such as pre-tax "Metrochek" and quick Shuttle-UM buses to the College Park Metro. These may save you money, reduce stress, and be more convenient than you expect.

bulletShuttle-UM buses link with many public transit services and serve the Metro at the College Park Station every 8 minutes? And that anyone can ride the Shuttle-UM bus from the College Park Metro - no ID is required? All faculty, staff and students can ride all other Shuttle-UM routes - just show an ID!
bulletthere is a free Guaranteed Ride Home program sponsored by the Council of Governments for those using public transit, Shuttle-UM, carpools and vanpools in case you need an emergency ride home?
bulletfaculty and staff can now pay for public transit pre-tax through payroll deduction saving up to $500 per year?
