DOTS Student Application

In order to work at the Department of Transportation Services, you must fulfill the following requirements.

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age - (for driver applicants)
  • Be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Maryland College Park or University College
  • Have a good driving record with at least 18 months of driving experience - (for driver applicants)
  • Work a minimum of 12 hrs per week each semester - (for driver applicants)

E-mail the Human Resources manager at dotshrm@umd.edu, for a paper application. If you are unable to submit this form electronically, you may also do the following:

  • Obtain a hard copy of this application from any Shuttle-UM bus.
  • Print a completed application from a computer and fax it to Human Resources Manager at (301) 314-9779 with the subject heading "Student Employment Application"
