DISPLAY
Display your current valid University of Maryland, College Park, Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) parking permit/CLPR in conjunction with your State-issued license plates, placard, and/or hanging permit when parked on campus. If you use the DMV hanging permit, display this permit from your vehicle’s rearview mirror. If applicable, please display DOTS parking permit on the driver’s side of your vehicle’s dashboard with lot assignment and control number facing the window.
Disabled permits/license plates are not valid in fire lanes, courier spaces, service spaces, Zipcar spaces or state vehicle spaces.
All parking spaces in surface lots that begin with a letter or number are restricted to vehicles with current, valid Campus License Plate Registration (CLPR). Visitors (any vehicle without a current, valid CLPR) may park at individual or multi-space parking meters in either surface lots or garages. Any person parking in a disabled parking area or displaying State-Issued Disabled identification is advised of the following:
A. Vehicles displaying State-Issued Disabled Parking identification WITH a current, valid CLPR may park in parking spaces in any lot that begins with a letter or number, which include disabled spaces.
B. Visitor vehicles displaying State-Issued Disabled Parking identification WITHOUT a current, valid CLPR may park in any parking space controlled by an individual or multi-space parking meter, which include disabled spaces.
If you are coming to campus for a special event and the existing visitor parking does not meet your needs, please contact the event coordinator to determine if additional arrangements have been made for disabled access.
