Welcome to the 2018 Maryland Terrapins Football Season!

General Information

This season the Terrapins will host six Saturday football games at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. We encourage all attendees to purchase game day parking permits in advance. Parking permits may be purchased on-site at Terrapin Trail Garage if space is available for $20. Online prepay permits are $17.

Current students and employees should browse the Parking on Game Day section of this website to learn how game days will impact travel to campus.

Saturday, Sept. 22nd Minnesota TBD
Saturday, Oct. 13th Rutgers (Homecoming) 12 PM
Saturday, Oct 27th Illinois TBD

Faculty & Staff: You can use your University ID card to get into any non-Terrapin Club reserve areas. Attendants are instructed to check for ID's and admit at all lots except for 1, Z, JJ, SDG South, ULG, Q, M and R3. If your permit is for one of these lots, you may park in any other available lot WITH your UID. If you do not possess a university ID, you may obtain one through the Registrar’s office.  If you do not have a faculty/staff parking permit, you may request an Access Permit from DOTS prior to the game day.

Students: If you are not attending the football game but need to park on campus on a game day, you will need to request an Access Permit in advance at no charge from DOTS prior to game day. Without an Access Permit or game day parking permit you will need to park in an available street-side meter space and pay the meter.

Access Permit: Requests must be made in person at the DOTS office the Monday - Friday (8:15am - 4:00pm) before the football game.  Employees will have access to Regents Drive Garage or Terrapin Trail Garage if Regents Drive Garage is full.

Unaffiliated Guests: If you are planning to visit campus during a home football game, you will need to obtain a parking permit in advance of your visit. You may purchase game day parking permit online.

Relocation & Towing for Gameday

Tow notice lot signs with relocation requirements have been and will remain posted at all lots affected by game day.

If you plan to visit campus on a home game day but aren't attending the game, we recommend you view our non-attendee home game parking options for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Vehicles that are not relocated by the indicated times may be cited and/or towed at the owner's expense. You may begin relocating your vehicles at 4:00 p.m. the Friday before the home game.

All non-faculty/staff vehicles in the following lots must be relocated by 11:59 p.m. the Friday before every home football game:

Lots 4b, 5, 9b, 11b, A, C1, C2, CC1, DD, E, ER, FF2, GG1, H, II1, K1, K2, L, PH1, MM2, N4, MV, NN, 01, 03, P1, P2, RR2, T, Turner Hall, U, XX1 and Xfinity Visitor Lot.

Anyone parked in the following lots must be relocated by 2:00 a.m. the Saturday of every home football game:

Lots 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 3, Z, JJ1, JJ2, JJ3, M, Q, Q1, R3, S7, MM3, YC, Stadium Drive Garage and Union Lane Garage.

Lot 6 registrants do not need to relocate their vehicles in advance of the game. However, if you leave Lot 6 and return on game day, you will not be permitted to re-enter the lot until after the game. Your student ID will not grant you access.

We recommend you move your vehicle to Terrapin Trail Garage (Lot 6), Mowatt Lane Garage or Lot K7 if you need to relocate to another parking lot on campus. If you choose to relocate to Terrapin Trail Garage (Lot 6), note that, if you exit the lot on game day, you may not re-enter the lot until after the game.

If you are moving your vehicle to another lot on campus that is outside of our recommended relocation areas, please ensure that you:

  1. Check the lot for posted tow notice signs. If a tow notice sign is posted, please read it to ensure that you are not parking in the lot when it is restricted for football.
  2. Read the permanent lot sign (red or black with the lot name) to ensure that you are not parking during hours that are restricted to permit holders.

All registered vehicles must be parked in their assigned parking lot by 7:00 AM on the Monday following game to avoid citation.

We realize many of our lots are quite far from Maryland Stadium. To help get you to the stadium, we offer our Quickbus service before and after the game. Please see the map below for route specifics.

Those needing paratransit and disabled accommodations should contact us at 301.314.DOTS(3687) or PRIOR to game day.
